Software Development Bridging Program
• Specialized 15-week Program for Individuals Who Have Immigrated to Canada
• Humber Polytechnic now offers a 15-week Bridging Program specifically designed to help Internationally Trained Professionals to find employment as Software Developers, App Developers, Computer Programmers, and such.
• This unique program helps individuals gain the latest technical skills as well as connections to employers who are actively hiring for roles in Software Development.
• Participants in financial need may be eligible to cover the cost of the program through the Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program (OBPAP) Bursary.
• The Software Development Bridging Program now offers two specialized streams to better align with industry needs and participant interests:
Back-end Stream: September 2026 start
Front-end Stream: October 2026 start
Program Delivery: Completely online (Evenings & Weekends).

The Ontario Bridge Training Program (OBTP) supports internationally educated healthcare professionals in transitioning into meaningful and commensurate employment within Ontario’s healthcare sector through training, mentorship, work-integrated learning, and employment support.

Program Components
The program consists of approximately 180 hours of training and support over 12 weeks, including:
• 6–7 weeks of specialized stream training delivered in partnership with the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management (live online and asynchronous learning)
• Hybrid prerequisite healthcare training delivered by industry professionals and subject matter experts
• Employment readiness workshops, career coaching, and employment counselling
• One-on-one and group mentorship, networking events, and industry engagement opportunities
• Structured experiential learning, including job shadowing, employer engagement, and job matching opportunities
• Resume reviews, mock interviews, and ongoing job search support
