The Youth Resiliency Hub was founded in 2025 by the Helix Foundation’s Youth Advisory Team. The team members, all of whom had experienced housing challenges, food insecurity, and/or underemployment, wanted to create a resource where other young people could learn from their experiences.
Our website is meant to be a resource, as well as an open-ended conversation with service providers. We wanted an online place where we could tell other youth what to expect when they walked in the door of youth-serving organizations.
We are always open to feedback and would love to hear from you. We also definitely want more contributors to our website, so please feel free to reach out if you have ideas on places to review: youthresiliencyhub@gmail.com
Meet the Team

Danawit is deeply committed to creating positive social change and envisions building a career with international organizations that empower and support at-risk youth worldwide. She joined the Youth Resiliency Hub Team to build the kind of light she once needed: a resource of hope and guidance for those finding their way through hardship.
Elle Rosen
Go TO Spot: The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)
Elle is currently a student at the University of Toronto. They love making art and being a part of various communities. They joined the Youth Resiliency Hub Team because they were once a houseless youth struggling with their mental health, who wished this resource existed. They hope, going forward, to be a part of a team that ensures no youth has to do it alone.
